A NEW cultural partnership has been formed for the North East.
The group, which includes all 12 local authorities in the region, as well as arts and culture organisations, businesses and education providers, aims to recognise the value of culture to the area and give the North East more influence at national and international level.
Northumberland County Council Chief Executive Steve Stewart said: “This partnership is about better collaborative working across sectors to sustain and develop the cultural offer for local people.
“Culture is a public good, the visitor economy is boosted by it and it’s crucial to quality of life, which is critical in inward investment and relocation decisions. -The Culture Partnership enhances the reputation of the North East by focusing on the things that made it great.”
