A successful children’s stories programme is joining forces with The Children’s Foundation Family Fun Day to make a visit to a Northumberland hall this weekend.
Seven Stories – National Centre for Children’s Books will be part of the fun day being held at Kirkley Hall on Sunday, June 28 from 11am until 4pm and is open for all.
Families will adventure deep into the woods surrounding Kirkley Hall to discover lively storytelling and activities as Seven Stories wishes The Children’s Foundation a very happy 25th anniversary.
Little Red needs help with creating the Best Story Ever Told when Seven Stories’ popular Mixed Up Fairy Tale performance finds its way to the woods of Kirkley Hall.
Families will also have chance to make their own animal mask to take home and settle down with their favourite stories surrounded by beautiful woodland and who knows who might be waiting in the woods.
The free event organised by The Children’s Foundation is to celebrate 25 years working to create happy, healthy and safe lives for children and young people across the North East and Cumbria.
Visitors to the Fun Day will have a packed programme of organised events to enjoy including Lawn games, face painting, treasure hunt and a 120m zip wire.
Libby Nolan, Fund-raising Manager at The Children’s Foundation says, “It’s great to be able to celebrate our 25 year anniversary with families who have supported us along the years. We’re grateful to Seven Stories for being a part of this event and are looking forward to their performances.”
