Youngsters across Northumberland will be encouraged to pipe up in a new music initiative.
A Young Pipers Group will be set up at Morpeth Chantry Bagpipe Museum for members aged five to 18 to share their enthusiasm and skills.
The project, working with Music Partnership North, will give opportunities to work towards an Arts Award and perform at venues and events across the county.
Danielle Burn, who is working on behalf of the museum, said: “The young people who take part in the group will be able to decide how the time is spent in their sessions. They can choose to rehearse, have skills workshops, or simply chat to others who share the same interests.”
The first meeting will be held in November. For more information visit www.morpethbagpipemuseum.org.uk
