MUSIC fans in Morpeth can look forward to the start of the autumn series of Lunchtime Concerts.
The monthly concerts at St George’s United Reformed Church resume on Wednesday and the series offers a varied line-up.
The first event will feature the Murray Family Trio. David, on piano, Jennifer, clarinet, and their son Christopher, on cello, are all well known as individuals in North East musical circles, but this will be a rare opportunity to perform together.
Next month will be the turn of the Virtuoso Jazz Trio, on their third visit to Morpeth, and also returning for the third time in November is pianist Nicholas Nowicki. The last concert of the series features brass quintet Sorella Brass, performing music from Baroque to present day.
Each performance begins at 12.30pm and lasts about an hour. Refreshments are available.
Tickets for each concert cost £3, or £10 for the series. They will be available at the first concert or by contacting Gillian Irvine on 01670 515870.
