A TRADITIONAL concert by a Northumberland group will once again take place in Ellington Welfare.
The Ashington & District Male Voice Choir will perform a programme of many songs and Christmas carols for the local Darby & Joan Club on Tuesday evening.
The singers have become so popular with the club that they now do two concerts each year at the Welfare — early summer and late autumn.
These regular appearances means the choir has to have a wide repertoire and new pieces are brought in whenever possible alongside the old favourites.
Guest artists are frequently invited, whilst at other times the Musical Director, Neil Morton, and accompanist, Jonathan Foster, show their skills with piano duets or solo performances.
The latest concert starts at 7pm. Visitors are welcome and they should arrive by 6.50pm.
They can give a donation by buying some raffle tickets.
