A new series of Lunchtime Concerts begins in Morpeth next week.
There will be a healthy mix of instrumentalists performing at St George’s United Reformed Church on Wednesday, including on oboe, violin, accordion and piano.
In February there will be a return of senior music students and the Chamber Choir from King Edward VI School, and in March George Macdonald and his Virtuoso Jazz Trio will perform.
The final concert of the winter/spring season will be given by Kristina and David Hedley, bassoon and oboe players from the Royal College of Music.
However, there is an extra treat with a fifth concert when Iona Brown, sub-principal violin of Royal Northern Sinfonia, gives a recital in April.
Admission is £3 for each concert, or £10 for the first four. They all take place at St George’s, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm. For more information contact Gillian Irvine on 01670 515870.
