A COUPLE of Northumberland musicians took part in an event which turned back the clock hundreds of years.

St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle recently hosted its first medieval banquet and as well as eating authentic food from the period, those who attended were entertained by the Northumbrian branch of The Clarsach Society.

And the other musicians playing traditional songs included David Walker of Hartburn (guitar and mandolin) and 16-year-old King Edward VI School student Tristan Seldon (pipes).
