Still surviving

MUSIC fans can hear the acoustic guitar sounds of Michael Chapman in Morpeth this Sunday.

The experienced musician plays a blend of atmospheric and autobiographical material. He made his mark in the early 1970s with the album Fully Qualified Survivor, which featured the hit record Postcards of Scarborough.

Over the years he has mixed intricate guitar instrumentals with a full-band sound in a range of albums, including Savage Amusement, Dreaming Out Loud and Sweet Powder.

He will be performing at Morpeth Blues ‘n Roots Club in La Bodega Tapas Bar, Newgate Street. The concert, which also features support acts, starts at 2pm.

Tickets cost £5.
