APPLICANTS are invited for the role of Lord Mayor of London as Morpeth Theatre Group gears up for its next panto.
The amateur dramatic group, which was formerly known as Morpeth Pantomime Society, is seeking new members for both on and off-stage roles in its production of Dick Whittington.
The pantomime will be staged in January and will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Children of middle school age are welcome to join with an adult member, who will supervise them at rehearsals, and high school pupils, aged 13 and over, can join as youth members.
The group will hold an open evening at Morpeth Riverside Leisure Centre on Monday at 7.30pm for people to meet the committee and existing members.
There will also be an introduction to the script and characters of the panto, as well as refreshments and games.
