COMIC classic Tartuffe will take centre stage in two local communities.
Northumberland Theatre Company will present the popular Moliere comedy in Morpeth and Longhirst, telling the tale of the scheming Tartuffe.
The play is performed in the style of Commedia del’Art and Carry On, following the title character as he worms his way into the orderly household of rich merchant Orgon with the intention of marrying his daughter, seducing his wife and stealing the family fortune.
The piece has been adapted by Stewart Howson and is directed by Gillian Hambleton.
It can be seen at Morpeth Town Hall on Friday, October 28. Tickets cost £8 and are available on 01670 510742.
The play will move on to Longhirst Village Hall on Saturday, October 29. Tickets cost £10 and are available on 01670 790764.
