A CLASSIC children’s tale will have a modern telling in a production at Whalton Village Hall.
Northumberland Theatre Company will present Hansel and Gretel next week as part of the Highlights Rural Touring Scheme, which aims to take professional productions to rural communities at reasonable rates.
The performance follows two hungry children who are living in a house with nothing to eat, but soon find themselves in a place where everything, including the house, is edible. The only problem is they are the special dish on the menu.
The production promises to be gothic, funny, scary and exciting.
It will take place at the hall on Thursday, December 8 at 6.30pm.
Tickets cost £8 for adults, £4 for children, £6 concessions and £20 for a family, available on 01670 775386.
