Nothing ugly about Cambo performance

A dancing and singing extravaganza was presented in Cambo as youngsters performed The Ugly Duckling.

The Cambo First School summer show played to a full house, with costumes designed by Cambo Couture staff and pupils, and music by Kathy Anderson, who worked with the cast on the songs.

Headteacher Paula Cummings said: “This is the story the children wanted to tell.

“They wanted to share a message that you are marvellous, talented and totally unique, no matter what you look like or where you come from.”

After the performance the community shared a tea prepared by school cook Dawn Lewins.
