Play’s cast will perform a variety of characters

THE cast for Ponteland Repertory Society’s latest performance will be going back to the classroom.

Teechers by John Godber has been described as an entertaining comedy play that illustrates many of the anxieties in education.

It also has a serious message.

The six cast members (Gavin Redhead, Charlotte Stone, Stephen Stokoe, Adam Thompson, Lucy Walton and Jonny Woollett) switch quickly from playing various students at Whitewalls High School to playing some of their teachers.

Former teacher Carole Davies will direct the play – it is being held in Ponteland Memorial Hall between Tuesday and Saturday, March 29 from 7.30pm each day.

She said that the rehearsals have gone very well.

Tickets are priced £8 for adults and £6 for children (the performance is not suited for under 12s).
