Top marks for a complex production

Who Dies Wins, St George’s Community Players

Who Dies Wins, by Seymour Matthews, was performed by Morpeth St George’s Community Players in the Church Hall and I found it fascinating, intriguing and totally compelling.

It’s a complex story so top marks to David Swinton, who directed the comedy thriller.

Robin Herron was outstanding as Chief Inspector Norbert Plum, but Herron was not alone in the field of excellence, with Emma Banfield and Joshua Beasley as Abby and Leon Winter turning in equally convincing performances. Jared Johnson (Raymond Brown), Sue Elliott (Sophie Brown), George Knox (John Drummond) and Julie Roberts (Molly Drummond) were central figures to the action, and the latter should take heart after a pleasing debut.
